  • Introduction

    In 1994, Nicholas Ardura lived at 113 NE 101 Street in Miami, Florida. He was arrested on December 9th, 2008, just a short time before his death, for selling cannabis within 1,000 feet of a school. In archive footage, Nicholas appeared as himself in Episode 1, season 1, of The First 48, titled "One Heart", which initially aired in April of 2009. The synopsis of the episode said that: "Miami Sgt. Armando Aguilar and Det. Leo Tapanes had been assigned the homicide case of a 20-year-old Rastafarian, shot and robbed on Christmas Day. Surveillance footage and leads from the Rastafarian community helped the detectives identify three potential suspects. But when the suspects started pointing fingers at one another, the detectives had to try what they called 'an unusual tactic'." Four days after he was shot by the two men who robbed him, Nicholas died in the hospital. Both men were eventually caught and charged with first-degree murder. Miami: 2 Charged with Killing Marijuana Suspect - Jan 10 2008, Saturday
Nicholas Paul Ardura, 20, was scheduled to show up in court Jan 20 to face felony charges for selling marijuana.

He won't make it.

He was shot in the neck and robbed Christmas night while he stood in front of the Pleasant Grocery store at 7710 NW Second Ave. Police said two men took his cell phone, $150, some of his drug stash, and his life.

Ardura died at Jackson Memorial Hospital's Ryder Trauma Center four days after the shooting.

Miami homicide detectives have caught up to Brayshun Nwamah, 23, and Emmanuel Darbonne, 20. They were charged with first-degree murder and armed robbery with a deadly weapon. Both men were denied bond.
