Nora Francis Finnegan's father was James "Horse" Finigan (born 1849 in Ireland) and her mother was Delia Hoar (1852 - 1892), also born in Ireland. She had siblings James (1882), Mary (1885 - 1963), and Thomas J Finnegan (1887 - 1977). She also had half-siblings Robert "Rob" (1871 - 1901), Margaret (1874), and Elizabeth "Little Bessie" Finnegan (1890 - 1897).
When Nora was 21, she was living with her father and siblings James, Mary, and Thomas, in Youngstown, Ohio, on Maple Avenue. Her father was a peddler, and her brother James was a day laborer.
Nora married Dennis Mulhall (1860 - 1948) on June 26, 1907, in Cleveland Ohio, and they had children Florence - later Sister Florence, OSU - Madeline, John, Thomas, Leo, Robert, and Edgar.
When Nora was 51, she and Dennis were living in Beaver, Ohio, on Woodworth-New Springfield Road, with their children Dennis, Madeline, Joh, Joseph, Thomas, Leo, and Robert, and granddaughter Gladys. Father Dennis was a janitor in a retail store, Madeline was a bookkeeper at a tea company, John was an automobile repair man, and son Dennis was a truck driver for a plumbing company.
By the time that she was 71, Nora was a widow and living in Beaver, Ohio, with her sons Leo J. and Robert E. Mulhall with her granddaughter Elizabeth Mulhall. She was keeping house, Leo was a crane man in a steel mill, and Robert was a finisher in a metal furniture company.
