2 Memories, Stories & Photos about Oscar

Oscar Spalinger
Oscar Spalinger
I have an old studio photograph of Oscar SPALINGER which was taken at the P. Hupp Studio in Waitsburg, WA sometime in the 1890's. Oscar appears to be in his 20's at the time the photograph was taken. Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding Oscar and his family:

Oscar SPALINGER was b. 19 Dec 1872 in Iowa to parents John J. SPALINGER (1842-1914) and Elizabeth OWENS (1840-1883) who were married 22 Aug 1861 in Iowa. Oscar was one of 10 children born to this couple including Mary Alice; John; James William; George Washington; Emma Elizabeth; Ocker; Sarah; Franklin “Frank” A.; Carolyn “Callie” or “Calli”; Oscar; and Edward SPALINGER, all born between 1858 and 1875. Oscar married Cora WILLIS (1885-1967) on 20 Jun 1908 in Snohomish, WA and they had a son Howard Orv SPALINGER (1918-1977). Oscar died 17 Nov 1949 in Albany, OR and is buried in the Willamette Memorial Park Cemetery in Albany, OR.

I would like to get the photograph to family and would appreciate you contacting me if you are a member of this family or know someone who might be.

Thanks,
Shelley
Date & Place: at P. Hupp Studio in Waitsburg, Walla Walla County, Washington 99361, United States
