He married Elizabeth Osullivan Hotton, and had children David Henry Hotton, Peter James Hotton, Mary Isabella Hotton, Oswald George Hotton, and Evelyn Winifred Hotton. Oswald Hotton died at age 54 years old on September 29, 1939 in Fitzroy.
