He had siblings Mary Ethel Hotton, Frederick George Hotton, Letty Isabel Hotton, Alexander Leslie Hotton, Peter Stanford Hotton, Oswald Peter Hotton, David Leonard Hotton, and James Ogilvie Hotton. William Hotton married Lily Adelaide Lorraine Mappin in 1916, and died at age 83 years old on July 19, 1964 in QLD.
