Paul Leonard Newman 1925 - 2008

Paul Leonard Newman of Westport, Fairfield County, Connecticut United States was born on January 26, 1925 in Shaker Heights, Cuyahoga County, OH to Arthur Sigmund Newman Sr. and Theresa Garth (Fetzer) Newman. Paul Newman had a brother Arthur Sigmund Newman Jr.. He married Jacqueline Emily Witte on December 27, 1949 in Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, OH and they later divorced on January 28, 1958 in New York City, New York County, NY. They had children Scott Alan Newman, Stephanie Lynn Newman, and Susan Kendall Newman. He also married Joanne Gignilliat Trimmer Woodward on January 29, 1958 in New York City, New York County, and they were married until Paul's death on September 26, 2008 in Westport, Fairfield County, CT. They had children Elinor Teresa Newman, Melissa Steward Newman, and Claire Olivia Newman.
