Pauline Minerva (Cheel) Bradley of Collingwood, City of Yarra County, VIC Australia was born circa May 30, 1874 in Collingwood to George Cheel and Isabella Maria (Barrett) Cheel. She had siblings Sarah Ann Cheel, Louisa Amelia Cheel, Florence Isabella Cheel, Julia Sophia Cheel, and Frederick Henry Cheel. She married Charles John Bradley in 1899, and had children Frank George Bradley, Charles Albert Bradley, Florence Isabel Bradley, Alfred Ewart Bradley, and Owen Cheel Bradley. Pauline Bradley died at age 82 years old on July 8, 1956 in Collingwood.

In 1874, in the year that Pauline Minerva Cheel was born, on September 14th, the Battle of Liberty Place occurred in New Orleans - the capital of Louisiana. Some members of the previous Confederate Army assembled for the purpose of "driving the usurpers from power" and the Republican Governor - William P. Kellogg - was physically driven from his office. The former Confederates temporarily replaced him with (the former) Democratic Governor John McEnery. Federal forces arrived, put down the insurrection, and five days later the legally elected government was restored.
