    The Clinton Herald July 17, 1941 Peter M.H. Allesee, 334 Fourth avenue, North, died at 7 a.m. today in his home, following a lingering illness. The body will repose in the family home. Prayer service in the home will precede the funeral services which will be held at 2 o'clock, Saturday, in St. John's Danish Lutheran church, with the Rev. A.C. Kildegaard officiating. Burial will be in Springdale cemetery. Peter Allesee was born Feb. 15, 1851, in Kolding, Denmark. He came to the United States 68 years ago, making his residence in Clinton. He was united in marriage to Louise Sorensen, Aug. 24, 1882. Fraternally, he was a member of the Danish brotherhood. He was a retired Millwright. Surviving are his children, Gerhardt Allesee, Cedar Rapids; Mrs. John Wreidt, Tracy Allesee, Harry, Charles, Emma and Louise, all of Clinton; and George Allesse, La Porte, Ind.; 11 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren. Preceding him in death was his wife, who died in 1932 and two other wifes prior, 2 sons and 2 daughters.
