My Granfather, Peter Carter & 3Unknowns
My grandfather, Peter Richard Carter, was in the Lord Strathcona's Horsemen, Canadian Reserve Cavalry Regiment, WW1. The picture is of Peter in uniform, a gentleman in street clothes and 2 Red Cross Nurses. The picture, a studio shot, is in postcard form and was taken at The Fancy Dress Studio, 49, Tottenham Court Road, London, w. This photo belonged to my grandfather.

Does anyone know who the street-dressed gentleman and the two nurse are? Are they in costume?

This picture belonged to my Grandfather, Peter Richard Carter, and was taken in the Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada area. Peter was training at Camp Hughes, near Winnipeg, in the Lord Strathcona's Horseman, Canadian Reserve Cavalry Regiment, WW1.

Does anyone recognize the woman in the picture?

This lady looks like a Cardinal/Carpenter/ Baker. They were in Winnipeg and then moved to Prince George, British Columbia. Hope it helps.

This photo is of my grandfather, Peter Richard Carter, along with another soldier and a family my grandfather stayed with during WW1. This was taken in France, perhaps in Bethencourt sur Mer. There's my grandfather, another soldier, 2 girls, one boy, a woman, perhaps the children's mother, and an older woman, perhaps the grandmother. The photo is taken in front of a building, perhaps their home.

Who are the other people, besides my grandfather, in the picture? Was it taken in Bethencourt sur Mer?
