He married Mary Ellen Fleming Mcpoyle, and had children Annie Margaret Mcpoyle, John Charles Mcpoyle, James Thomas Mcpoyle, and Mary Ellen Mcpoyle. Phillip McPoyle died at age 83 years old in 1955 in Mooroopna, Greater Shepparton City County.
