Teen killed in crash is identified
Authorities have identified a Maple Grove teenager who died Friday of injuries suffered in an accident on Interstate Hiway 94 in Maple Grove. Preston Hagen, 17, died about 10 a.m. Friday at North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale.
According to the State Patrol, Hagen was passing another car Thursday on I-94 at Weaver Lake Road when his car hit the edge of the pavement and went out of control. His car crossed the median and was hit by a vehicle headed in the opposite direction. The driver and a passenger in the other car were not seriously hurt.
