Rachel Doris Thompson of Cavendish Australia was born in 1917 in Cavendish to Claud Perronet Thompson and Elizabeth Mary Rae Pendlebury. She had siblings Stanley William Thompson and Edna Jean Thompson. Rachel Thompson married Albert Pendlebury in 1942, and died at age 59 years old in 1976 in Cave.
