    Ramsay and Rebecca were both 32 years old when they married in 1985 in Tarrant county TX. They were 59 years old when they divorced on May 21, 2012. Ramsay's parents were Roger C Slugg and Ellen (Ramsay) Slugg. He had siblings Roger, Robert, and Linda. According to his obituary (scroll down to read the entire obit), he was survived by daughter Ellen, son, Byron, stepdaughter Elliott Ross Weinman, former spouse Rebecca Ann Pope, and siblings Roger, Robert, and Linda. According to his Bank of America CV: "Prior to joining Bank of America, he was the National Practice Director of Bank of America’s Philanthropic Management group, and before that served as the Central Region Director of the Bank’s Charitable Management Services Group, and the Central Region Director of the Wealth Management Consulting Group. Ramsay has served as an adjunct professor at Texas Christian University and Texas A&M University College of Law, teaching courses in Introductory and Advanced Federal Income and Estate Taxation. Ramsay received his J.D. degree from the Ohio State University College of Law, and his undergraduate degree from Wittenberg University. Ramsay is admitted to practice law in Texas, is a member of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC), the State Bar of Texas, the American and Tarrant County (Texas) Bar Associations, the Tax and Estate Planning Section of the Tarrant County Bar (Chair, 1999-2000), the Lone Star Chapter of the National Association of Charitable Gift Planners, and the College of the State Bar of Texas. He is also the author of the Handbook of Practical Planning for Artists, Art Collectors and Their Advisors, Second Edition, published by the American Bar Association. He is also a frequent speaker on tax and financial planning topics, particularly as they relate to charitable planning and planning with art and collectibles."

    May 7, 1953 - August 2, 2021 Fort Worth, Texas - A funeral will be held for Ramsay Hill Slugg on August 14th at 11a.m. at St. Andrew's Anglican Church, 917 Lamar St, Fort Worth, Texas, 76102. Ramsay was born in Hamilton, Ohio on May 7th, 1953 to Roger and Ellen Slugg, and spent the majority of his childhood in Mansfield, Ohio. He received his Juris Doctorate degree from The Ohio State University College of Law, and his undergraduate degree in history from Wittenberg University. Ramsay began his career practicing law in 1978, and moved to Fort Worth, Texas in 1981. He was a partner at the law firm Gandy, Michener, Swindle, Whitaker & Pratt, where he specialized in corporate, securities, and tax law for over 11 years. He joined Bank of America in 1993 and held a number of different leadership positions. Most recently, and for 14 years, Ramsay was a Managing Director in the National Wealth Strategies group within the Chief Investment Office. He also served as the national head of art planning for the Bank of America Private Bank Art Services group. Ramsay was influential in the trusts and estates community. He held leadership positions in the American Bar Association and local Texas Bar. He was an active member of the prestigious American College of Trust and Estate Counsel, and was most recently elected to the National Association of Estate Planners & Councils' Estate Planning Hall of Fame. He authored the book Handbook of Practical Planning for Artists, Art Collectors and Their Advisors, Second Edition, published by the American Bar Association. He also taught as an adjunct law professor at Texas Christian University for 15 years, and at Texas Wesleyan University College of Law. Ramsay was an instrumental figure in the Fort Worth community. He served on the boards of directors of All Saints Episcopal School, Casa Manana, Boy Scouts of America Longhorn Council, and the All Saints Episcopal Church Vestry. The family asks that friends consider memorials to the Union Gospel Mission of Tarrant County; North Central Texas Academy (formerly Happy Hill Farm); and Hope Farm, Inc. Ramsay was passionate about service, particularly in his local community, where his enthusiasm and impact will be felt for many years to come. Ramsay is survived by his daughter, Ellen; son, Byron; stepdaughter, Elliott Ross Weinman; his former spouse of 26 years, Rebecca Ann Pope; and his siblings, Roger, Robert, and Linda Slugg Srozynski.
