Richard Bryan Leake Jr. was born on June 25, 1892 in Albany, Albany County, New York United States to Richard Bryan Leake and Annie Maud Nichols, and had siblings Dorothy Bulkeley Leake, Georgianna Leake, Maud Bulkeley Leake, and Charles Richards Leake II. He married Margaret Scott (Pitt) Leake, and had children Margaret Scott Leake, Richard Bryan Leake 3rd, and Peter Bulkeley Leake. Richard Leake died at age 66 years old on April 24, 1959 at Putnam Memorial Hospital in Bennington, Bennington County, VT, and was buried in April 1959 at Evergreen Cemetery in Arlington.
