  • Introduction

Richard Bryan Leake was named after a Dr. Richard Bryan, a friend of his father. For many years he was affiliated with Riggs Book Publishing and one book that he arranged to be published was a series of lectures that his father gave at Williams College and his father was scarcely lukewarm in allowing them to be published in a book. His political affiliation was Republican. While a supporter of Theodore Roosevelt, he did not approve of what he did to the G.O.P in 1912. His favorite recreation sport was golf and one of his regular partners was Robert Todd Lincoln. He was about 67 inches tall in his physical prime and average weight. Prominent jaw.
