Robert Barr died at age 59 years old on November 5, 1929 in Maffra, Wellington Shire County, VIC Australia, and was buried at Maffra Cemetery Boisdale St, in Maffra.

Introduction

The Gippsland Times. Victoria. 11th November 1929 - Sudden Death. Another sudden death occurred here last week. Mr. R. Barr had been unwell for a short time and his condition became so serious that he was taken to Dr. Armstrong's where he became rapidly worse. A specialist was called in from the City with Dr. MacDonald of Sale, but their efforts were of no avail. He passed away on Monday last. The late Mr. Barr was a native of the Western District, near Winchelsea, and came with his brother to Traralgon about 30 years ago. He was the eldest of a family of nine. He leaves a widow and family of three sons and two daughters.

BARR. - On the 5th November, at Stretton Park private hospital, Maffra, Robert, the loving husband of Margaret Barr, Newry, and eldest son of the late William and Mary Barr, late of Murroon, loving father of May ( Mrs. Mason ), Margaret, William, Macmillan, and Jack. Aged 60 years.
