    His parents were William Corner and Ellen Hampton, He came to Australia on the 'Renfrewshire' in 1875 and arrived at Moreton Bay, Queensland on 20 September 1875 with his father William. They then headed to Bundaberg, Qld. They lived in many places and ended up in Rutherglen, Victoria.
