They had 8 children Wendy Ron,Brian,Pam,Peter,Greg,Julie,and Lee,who are all married with children and grandchildren except for Ron,who never married.My mother passed away in 2011 and never knew anything about her Mother's life.

Thibeaux wins First Woman as Kaplan Marshal
Ruby Thibeaux went from a dispatcher to the Kaplan Marshal in eight short years.
Thibeaux won the run-off election over Brodney Mouton 1,110 votes to 743 votes (60 percent to 40 percent). Results for Election Date: 12/8/2012
Thibeaux is already the acting marshal of Kaplan. She took over after the sudden death of Percy Manceaux Jr.
“I want to thank everyone who voted for me,” said Thibeaux after hearing she won. “I will work to do my best as the marshal. I enjoy serving the people.”
Thibeaux will be sworn in as the marshal and will occupy the office for only eight months because she complete the rest of Percy Manceaux Jr.'s term. Another election will take place in eighteen months and the winner of that marshal’s race will be the marshal of Kaplan for six more years.
Thibeaux worked her way up to the marshal’s job with the help of the late Percy Manceaux Jr. Thibeaux began working for the city of Kaplan as a dispatcher, and she also cleaned the city court house. One day, Manceaux was busy and the phone began ringing. Manceaux requested she answer the phone while she was in the courthouse cleaning. She did and she also impressed Manceaux. He offered her a part-time job answering the phone.
That was eight years ago. Thibeaux slowly began doing more and more in the marshal’s office. Eventually, she got certified as a police officer. She would also handle Manceaux’s duties as the marshal when he was on vacation or ill.

"Re-Elected" Thibeaux 2206 votes won election over Brodney Mouton 1232 votes (65 percent to 435 percent).
