Robert Grant Louttit of Ashburton, Canterbury New Zealand was born in 1877 in Mortlake, Moyne Shire County, VIC Australia to Georgina Ellen (Grant) Louttit and William Clouston Louttit. He had siblings William John Louttit, James Louttit, Georgina Ellen Louttit, Elizabeth Margaret (Louttit) Middleton, and Annie Flett (Louttit) Stephenson. Robert Louttit died at age 39 years old on December 28, 1917 in France, and was buried at Divisional Cemetery M. 11. in Belgium.
