William Louttit had a brother John Clouston Louttit. He married Georgina Ellen (Grant) Louttit on June 3, 1869. They had children Elizabeth Margaret (Louttit) Middleton, Annie Flett (Louttit) Stephenson, William John Louttit, Robert Grant Louttit, James Louttit, and Georgina Ellen Louttit. He married Mary (Hearn) Louttit in 1907. William Louttit died at age 90 years old on June 20, 1933 in Ballarat, City of Ballarat County, VIC Australia.
