Robert Maxwell Close of Ballarat East Australia was born in 1857 in VIC to Elijah Close and Fanny Close. He had siblings Francis Close, James Close, Walter Albert Close, Annie Sophia Close, and Edward Chalmers Close. He married Mary Ellen (Middlin) Close in 1889, and had children Albertis Maxwell Close, Adeline Annie Fredman, Hector Norman Close, Stanley Robert Close, Leslie Gordon Close, Arthur Edgar Close, Muriel Eleanor Close, Robina Sarah Close, and Herbert Trevean Close. Robert Close died at age 83 years old in June 1941 in Balt E.
