    McIvor Times and Rodney Advertiser (Heathcote, Vic. : 1863 - 1918) (about) Previous issueThursday 1 March 1906 Court of Petty Sessions. Before Mr E. N. Moore, P.M. INSULTING BEHAVIOUR. –Robert Milsom was brought before the Bench on remand on Friday last on a charge of behaving in an insulting manner, at Knowsley. Senior-Constable Millar appeared to prosecute. Constable Comb, stationed at Axe.dale, repeated his former evidence, that defendant was behaving in a violent manner at his mother's residence and that when witness went to inquire into the matter defendant threatened him with a stick. He also resisted violently when witness went to arrest him. A second charge of having no visible, means of support was also ref …cross-examined by the P.M. as to his means of livelihood. In reply to a question as to how much money he had earned lately he said that "it was his' business" and that he "would not tell his private matters to anyone." The PM. warned the defendant that if he did not give more definite answers to his questions he would deal severely with him. The defendant, refused to reply. On the charge of behaving in an insulting manner he was fined 30s, together with 10s 6d costs, in default 14 days' imprisonment, and on the charge of having no visible means of support he was sent to goal for two months.
