    Robert William Gilbert OBITUARY GILBERT, Robert William “Bobby” : Robert William “Bobby” Gilbert, 65, of Hartford, passed away peacefully on January 9, 2009 surrounded by his family. Bob was born on July 27, 1943 in Hartford, son of the late Clarence Gilbert and the late Agnes (O’Leary) Gilbert Scanlon. He is survived by his four children, Kim Gibilisco and her husband Fran of Wethersfield, Dianna Gilbert of Cromwell, Richard Gilbert and his companion, Angela Urciuoli of West Hartford, Dawn Penfield and her husband Larry of East Hartford, their mother and former wife of 38 years, Carol (Russo) Gilbert. He leaves his grandchildren, Christina and Paul Gibilisco, Kayla and Krystal Penfield, Jason and Zachery. Robert's brothers, William of Wethersfield, Jack and his wife, Sondra of Manchester, sisters Carol Petrolito of Hartford, Joan Boucher, her husband, Raymond and their son, Raymond (Bob’s Godson) of California. He was predeceased by his brothers, Richard, Gerald, and his sister, Nancy (Gilbert) Lepko. Robert also leaves his former wife, Nancy Roberts and his beloved dog, Nugget. He leaves many nieces, nephews and dear friends, including John Callahan, Andrea (Chubs) Duquette and Harley Polverelli. Many special thanks to Hartford Hospital Bliss 5 Palliative Unit and the VNA Health Care-Hospice for their kindness and support. A Memorial Service for Bob will be held Friday, January 16, at 1 p.m. at the Paul A. Shaker/Farmingdale Funeral Home, 764 Farmington Avenue, New Britain, CT. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family. Relatives and friends may call at the Paul A. Shaker/Farmingdale Funeral Home, Friday from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. Directions to funeral home: I-84 East or West – Exit 37 (Fienemann Road) Right off exit – one mile down on right. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Bob’s name may be made to: VNA Health Care-Hospice, 103 Woodland Street, Hartford, CT 06105 or Hartford Hospital Bliss 5 Palliative Unit, 80 Seymour St., Hartford, CT
