Mrs. Rosa P. Gregory FAIRMONT, June 22 Mrs. Rosa Phillips Gregory, 43, died at 6:50 o'clock this morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. James Pearson at Fairmont following an illness of two and one half years. Mrs. Gregory lived at. Jackson mill and died while visiting her daughter at Fairmont. She was a daughter of Mrs. Ellen Duck Powell, and the late Lee Powell. She was a member of the Abner Creek Baptist church. Mrs. Gregory was married twice. Her first marriage was to the late Reuben Phillips. From this marriage four daughters survive, Mrs. James Pearson, Misses Essie Mae, Frances, and Betty Ruth Phillips. Her second marriage was to Clarence Gregory who survives with one daughter, Miss Earsell Gregory. Also surviving are her mother, Mrs. Ellen Powell; four brothers, Edd, Jim, Lawrence and Smiley Powell; two sisters, Mrs. W. B. Fowler and Mrs. Paul Rogers and one grandchild. Funeral services will be held on Sunday afternoon at 5 o'clock at the Abner Creek Baptist church, conducted by Rev. D. R. Hill, assisted by Rev. waiter Harrison. Burial will 'be in the church cemetery. The following were asked to meet at the Pearson home at Fairmont at 4 o'clock to serve as active pallbearers; Brooks Thomas, Earnest Dill, Lura Wood, Marshall Greer, L. B. Hayes, and Tally Davis. The body is at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Pearson.
