    her sister Francesca Margaret Gabriele Rankin of Titusville, Florida was one of my favorite aunts. I looked for her for 50 years. But she was really nasty. Fortunately, my favorite aunt, Julia Gabriel was always wonderful.

    She was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., Oct. 29, 1923, to Frank and Virtu (Parrotta) Gabriele. She married Rosario A. Fabiano on Sept. 6, 1947, in St. Lucy Catholic Church in Brooklyn. He died May 18, 2007. Surviving are daughter Letitia Marino of Jasper; son Frank Fabiano and wife Charlene of Evansville; two sisters, Frances Rankin of Titusville, Fla., and Emily Watson of Jasper; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by five sisters, Susan Serafino, Fanny Misiano, Connie Toreno, Grace Vecchio and Katherine Defazio. Mrs. Fabiano was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper. She enjoyed visiting casinos and cooking. The funeral will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday in St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Jasper. Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Becher & Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church or a favorite charity.
