My mother had a troubled life but a loving Heart and soul. Born into a very good San Diego family Joseph and Lucille Machado. Being a renegade and a rebel she was sent to boarding school where she soon became a beatnik/Hippie and heroin addict. My grandparents tried to do everything possible to help improve her life. she hid the fact That she had become a drug addict. Sadly 13 days after I was born I went to convulsions. She never let the doctors know that she was a heroin addict and I was a heroin baby. the earlier memories of her is of her Loving eyes and sweet voice sing to me. usually the songs of The Three Dog night. My earliest memories is riding on the backs of Hell's Angels motorcycles and her meetings between the Mexican Mafia. She spoke four languages. Halloween 1971 her and my brother were smuggling heroin out of Mexico. I'd refuse to go that night with them. Soon after that I was carted off to an orphanage and then to a foster family The Mellinger's.Lucky for me Mr.Mellinger was very fond of molesting young boys. Thank you state of California for protecting me. I have to have siblings Gregory Klinkerd and Alma Wasko.
