ROY REINGARDT OBITUARY Roy G. Reingardt, 68, of Rockford, Ill., formerly of Sycamore, died Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2006, at home. Born June 25, 1938, in Sycamore, he was the son of Roy G. and Marie (Groeling) Reingardt. He married Flora Frey on July 7, 2001, at United Pentecostal Church of DeKalb. He worked at Barber Greene in DeKalb for many years. Roy was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a member of United Pentecostal Church of DeKalb and American Legion Post 66, and was a former member of the Sycamore Fire Department, having served as a volunteer firefighter for more than 25 years. He was an avid golfer and bowler. He will be missed by his wife, Flora Reingardt of Rockford; seven children, Penny (Rick) Bauer of Flint, Mich., Connie (Lynn) Allbritton of Evansville, Ind., Roy (Stefanie) Reingardt of Aurora, Patsy (Jack) Carty of Sycamore, Danny (Paula) Reingardt of Newark and Ronnie (Candi) Reingardt and Heidi (Don) Haire, both of Evansville, Ind.; a stepson, Kevin Gregory of West Dundee; 30 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Betty Reingardt; several nieces; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his stepfather, Dale Overton; and a brother, Harry Reingardt. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 9, at United Pentecostal Church of DeKalb, 1120 S. Seventh St., with the Rev. Greg W. Davis officiating. Interment will be at Elmwood Cemetery in Sycamore. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 8, at Quiram-Sycamore Funeral Home and from 10-11 a.m. Saturday at the church.
