She had siblings Raymond von Holt, Earl von Holt, and Lester von Holt. She married Lane Sharpless Lowe, and had a child Steven Hewes Lowe. Ruby Lowe died at age 85 years old on November 5, 2008 in Sandpoint, and was buried at Pinecrest Cemetery Pinecrest Loop, in Sandpoint.
