Introduction

Russell Milton Whitehurst was a 7th generation Floridian, who served in the U.S. Army in the 1950s in Germany during the reconstruction after WWII. He had two daughters and homesteaded in Alaska with his mother Marguerite and brother Raymond. His later years were spent in retirement in Trinity Florida with his wife Stella. He passed away on January 1, 2021 at the age of 86. Thank you for your service.

His mother Marguerite was born on September 3, 1914 in Winter Haven, Polk County, Florida, USA and grew up in Hillsborough County, Florida, USA. She married Doyle on May 25, 1932 in Tampa, Hillsborough County, Florida, USA and resided in Tampa. The couple had two children together before later divorcing in 1948. She re married in 1993 to Lionel Joseph Knaggs (1919–2008) and resided in New Port Richey, Florida, USA. She passed away there on August 31, 2007. His father Doyle was born on January 12, 1909 in Tampa, Hillsborough County, Florida, USA and lived most of his life there. After marrying Marguerite in 1932, he worked as a bookkeeper and was father to two children. After he and Marguerite divorced in 1948. he remarried to Evelyn Gertrude Hayes (1923–2013) on October 22, 1949 in Perry, Taylor County, Florida, USA. The couple had two children together. He passed away on October 28, 1997 in Tampa, Hillsborough County, Florida, USA.

On March 25, 1976, he wed Verness Estell Moreau in Pasco, Florida, USA, but they divorced on September 19, 1978. Shortly after, on September 25, 1978, Russell married Mildred Ferrell, and they eventually separated. His final marriage was to Stella Delsocorro Monsalve on December 12, 1981.
