Ruth May Hutchinson married Edward Henry Wickern (1890 - 1968) in 1912 in Los Angeles, California and they had a daughter, Shirleyruth Wickern, born in 1921. Ruth May Wickern Mrs. Ruth May Wickern, 85, of Ocean Beach, a 43 year resident of the county, died Saturday in a convalescent hospital. Mrs. Wickern, the former Ruth May Hutchinson, was born in Kentucky. Mrs. Wickern and her late husband, Edward, owned and operated the Sunset Market on Sunset Cliffs Boulevard from 1924 to 1967. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Shirleyruth Thurston of San Diego, and a sister. Services will be at 1 p.m. today at the Beardsley-Mitchell Funeral Home. Burial will be in El Camino Memorial Park.
