Ruth Womack Caulfield was born on March 14, 1918 in Van Buren County, Tennessee United States to Robert Pinkney "Pinkie" Womack and Nellie (Walling) Womack, and had siblings Dale Womack, Samuel Womack, Mildred (Womack) Moxley, Donald Womack, and Martha (Womack) Neff. She married Harding Bernard "Bernard" Caulfield, and died at age 93 years old on April 16, 2011. Ruth Caulfield was buried at Chattanooga National Cemetery Section BB Site 8 1200 Bailey Avenue, in Chattanooga.

    April 17, 2011 Chattanooga Times Free Press Ruth Womack Caulfield, 93, of Chattanooga, TN passed away on Saturday, April 16, 2011. Mrs. Caulfield was born Mar. 4, 1918, in Van Buren County, Tenn., to Robert Pickney Womack and Nettie Walling Womack. She was a member of Jones Memorial United Methodist Church and Adult Bible Class. She was a graduate of Chattanooga High School and McKenzie Business School. Ruth was employed as a Legal Secretary and retired from Chambliss Bahner Law Firm in 1985. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Caulfield; her parents; brothers, Dale and Samuel Womack; and sister, Mildred Moxley. Surviving are her brother, Donald (Joyce) Womack; sister, Martha Neff; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday, April 18, 2011, at the funeral home. Funeral Services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 19, 2011, at the funeral home with the Rev. Larry Dial officiating. Burial will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Jones Memorial United Methodist Church, 4131 Ringgold Road, East Ridge, TN 37412. Arrangements are by the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory, and Florist, 404 South Moore Road, East Ridge, TN.
