Introduction

Sadie was the mother of two daughters, grandmother of six, great grandmother of 20. Her husband passed away in the early 1950's. For her generation, she was independent and outspoken. She lived independently until near the end of her life. Her parents were Anna & Mahlon Little. Her only Sibling was Angie Preston. They attended church in Point Isabel, but I am not sure where they spent their early years. Sadie was my grandmother. The house she lived in for many years is still there on Main St in Pt Isabel.

Professional Career

Sadie was a farmer's wife. When her husband passed away, she continued to live alone in a house in Pt. Isabel. She leased her fields to local tobacco farmers and leased part of her house to her friends, Harley Ormes. Her favorite place to eat when we were young was a rural Restaurant called Limigs Lake. She loved pecan pie.
