Sarah Ann Manks of Cheltenham Australia was born in 1872 in Cranbourne, VIC to Sarah Ann (Henderson) Stick Shead and John Stick. Sarah Manks had siblings Annie (Stick) Dorling, Nicholas Stick, Elizabeth (Stick) Bould, James Stick, William Stick, Florence McKay (Stick), and John Stick Jnr. She married William George Manks. She would also marry Henry Manks, and they had a child William John Leslie Manks. Sarah's partner was Samuel Manks, and they had a child William Eli Manks. Sarah Manks died at age 82 years old in 1954 in Oakleigh, and was buried on March 11, 1954 at Dandenong Cemetery in Dandenong.
