These are pictures of my great grandmother Sarah Suggs Hand. She was born 11/10/1869. She died in 1951. She was married to Wyatte LaFayette Hand. These are pictures of her with her many many many grandbabies, taken in Marion County, Hand Valley Area, Near Yellville.

Where are these HANDs from? Our came to MA in 1630's, were in SouthHampton LongIsland (SUFFOLK CO. NY) in 1642, Easthampton LongISland by 1649, and CAPE MAY NJ ca 1695. Our land is through Thomas HAND Sr. & Jrs. Tom Sr. was son of immigrants John Hand & Alice Gransden of KENT ENGLAND.
In ca 1818 a descendant of the above, also a Thomas and his wife Sarah Stitt? moved from NJ to
New Haven, FLOYD CO IN where they raised their family. Thomas' father was named Levi.
Their son Libius Fresbie married Elizabeth Garrison and after Lib died, Liz moved to area around Logansport and Royal Center?,CASS county IN. They had a "handful" of children, many of moved away from both areas. Our line ended up in Chicago in early 1900's.
