Box 555, Emporia, KS 66801-0555: Scherri C. Buchtel The funeral service for Mrs. William H. (Bill) Buchtel, 102 South Commercial St., who died Wednesday, will be held at 1:30 P.M. Saturday in the chapel of Roberts-Blue-Barrett Funeral Home. Burial will be in Reading Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lyon County Humane Society and may be sent to the funeral home. Mrs. Buchtel died of injuries she received when her pickup truck collided with a Santa Fe Railway train. The accident occurred early Wednesday morning at Carter Street and the tracks. Mrs. Buchtel was a lifetime resident of Emporia and was born here Oct. 20, 1951. She was a housekeeper at the Holiday Inn. She and William H. Buchtel, Jr. were married in Emporia on June 6, 1977. Mrs. Buchtel is survived by her husband; two sons, Shane Ray Wilson and Shawn Allen Wilson, both of the home; her parents, Ross and Leah Crawford of Americus; grandmother, Muriel Callahan of Emporia, and five sisters, Suzan McClellan, Sharilyn Allen, Stacy Watson and Shelly Wright, all of Emporia, and Sheila Foster of North Pole, Alaska.
