Seamus R. McCready, 24, of Oshkosh, died Tuesday, April 8, 2003, in the Town of Springdale as a result of injuries received in a traffic accident. He was born on April 12, 1978, in Fond du Lac, a son of James and Mary Narges McCready. He graduated from Campbell-sport High School in 1996 and from UW-Oshkosh in December 2001. Seamus taught math at Waupun Senior High School and was the JV basketball coach. He was a member of Shepherd of the Hills Catholic Church in Eden. Seamus loved basketball, coaching and the outdoors, and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Survivors include his parents, James and Mary of Eden; a sister, Melissa (Paul) Cochran of Eden; a brother, Michael, serving with the United States Marines in Iraq; his maternal grandmother, Jeanette Narges of Eden; a very special friend, Kristine Auchue; a good friend, Chad Gensler; nieces and a nephew, Abigail, Hannah and Caleb Cochran; many cousins; and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by a sister, Bridget; maternal grandfather Harold Narges; paternal grandparents John and Pearl McCready; and an aunt, Meeghan. Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 14, 2003, at Shepherd of the Hills Church in Eden. The Rev. Kevin Wester will officiate, and burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Eden. Visitation: From 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday, April 13, 2003, at Twohig Funeral Home in Campbellsport, and from 10 a.m. until the time of services Monday at the church. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established. Twohig Funeral Home of Campbellsport is serving the family. - The Reporter April 10th 2003
