    Sheffield Digby Kissane Rogers was an Anglo Irish Marrano. He was born in Dorset in 1894 and educated at Bedford School. His father was a retired militaty officer (born in Ireland). SDKR died on the western front in 1915. He is remembered by at Langton Matravers: Church of St George (Dorset). see @N00/9434362365/ His family line can be traced from 1490 to 1915 as: Nasi Yehuda Kassin who took the name Senor Juan Cassin in 1490 (Spanish – Portuguese Marrano) Spouse Unknown Children Solomon Kassin (Senor Shlomo Kassin - the First) moved to Aleppo in Syria in 1540. Aka Francisco Cassin in Spain. Solomon Kassin Spouse unknown Children Yosef Kassin Yehuda. Kassin (aka Juan Kassin) – established the Marrano community in Galway Ireland Yosef: spouse unknown Children Solomon (Shlomo) Kassin (The second) Yehuda Kassin (Juan Cassin). Children: Serrel Michael Kissane Rogers (b 1855) Digby William Kissane Rogers (b 1856) Sheffield Strangeways Kissane Rogers (b 1859) Harriet Kissane Rogers Serrel Kissane Rogers (B 1855 d1908) Married in 1886 to Florence Clarke B 1861. Serrel was an officer in a Irish regiment in the British Army. Children: Beryl Kissane Rogers B 1899 D 1986 One of the first female member of the Royal Airforce. I have found his grave in Dorset in a closed C of E cemetery but he is listed TWICE on the Menim Gate memorial in Belgium.
