Simmy Jean Turner was my aunt and she was not born into the Reynolds family but married into it. After her divorce from my uncle, she never remarried. I have lots of memories of her but what I want to always remember is how much she loved her family and how hard she fought the cancer that eventually took her life. I think besides the birth of her son, and taking care of my grandmother until my grandmother's death, the biggest and most selfless thing she did was to have her body donated to the University of Alabama for cancer research. I hope one day her death will have helped save countless others. I miss her so much and any class I might have, I got from her.
