Tennyson Kelchner of Nescopeck, Luzerne County, PA was born on March 1, 1899, and had a brother Torrence Kelchner. He was in a relationship with Helen (Mack) Kelchner, and had children Janice Arlene (Kelchner) Yoder, Glen P. “Pete” Kelchner, and Robert “Bob” Kelchner. Tennyson Kelchner died at age 68 years old in September 1967.

The Philippines objected to the Treaty of Paris, signed in 1898, that transferred possession of the Philippines from Spain to the U.S. Filipinos began a fight for independence and fighting between U.S. forces and those of the Philippine Republic broke out. On June 2nd, the Philippines officially declared war on the United States.
