He married Anna Violet (Anderson) Ingpen, and had children William Lane Ingpen, Thomas Roger Ingpen, Donald Anderson Ingpen, and Reginald John Ingpen. Thomas Ingpen died at age 74 years old on December 23, 1957 in Geelong, Greater Geelong City County, and was buried in 1957 in Springvale, City of Greater Dandenong County.
