He had siblings Mabel Catherine Lawson, Mary Jane Lawson, Harold Lawson, Herbert Leslie Lawson, Mina Elizabeth Lawson, William Archibald Lawson, Alexander Hugh Lawson, and Stewart James Lawson. He married Bessie Anna May Mellington in 1915, and had children Jessie Mary Lawson and Archibald William Lawson. Thomas Lawson died at age 63 years old on August 17, 1954 in Ariah Park, NSW.
