Thomas Cave died at age 82 years old in 1900 at Constitution Hill in Dysart, Southern Midlands Council County, Tasmania Australia.

The Mercury, Hobart. 12th October 1900. CAVE.- On October 11, at Constitution Hill, Thomas Leigh Cave, native of Leicestershire, aged 82 years. Funeral will leave his late residence 3 o'clock Saturday, friends rspectively invited to attend. The Mercury, Hobart. 11th October 1901. IN MEMORIAM. CAVE.- In loving remembrance of Thomas Leigh Cave, who died at Constitution Hill, October 11, 1900, aged 82 years. Peaceful be thy silent slumber, Peaceful in thy grave so low, Thou no more wilt join our number, Thou no more our song wilt know, Yet again we hope to meet thee, When the day of life is fled.
