He married Eliza Margaret (Lonsdale) Berry in 1869, and had children William Thomas Berry, Eliza Jane Berry, Ada Elizabeth Berry, Florence Theresa Berry, Evelyn Maud Berry, Albert Thomas Berry, and George Slocombe Berry. Thomas Berry died at age 61 years old on February 3, 1899 in Port Melbourne, VIC Australia.
