Introduction

Tressa's parents were John Bolla and Barbara Sluka. Tressa Bolla, age 17, of Flushing Michigan, married Stephen Bales, age 24, of Flint Michigan, on May 11 1929 in Flint. In the 1950 federal census, Trissa (sic) was 38 and married. She was living in Ada, Ohio with husband Stephen Bales and son Stephen A. (13). She was "keeping house" and husband Stephen was a metal finisher in a coach works. Not included in the 1950 census was their child Violet Eva Bales Rogers ( 1930 - 1997)
