MRS. ULA M. WALKER
CEDAR VALE, Kan. - Ula M. Walker, 58, of Cedar Vale, died Thursday, Apnl 21,2005, at Cedar Vale Community Hospital in Cedar Vale.
She was born Nov. 23, 1946 at Cedar Vale to Grant and Beaulah (Cox) Utt. She grew up in Cedar Vale, where she attended school graduating from Cedar Vale High School. Following high school, she attended Professional Beauty College in Wichita.
On Oct. 25, 1968, she married Gerald "Jerry" Walker at Cedar Vale. Following their marriage, they made their home in Cedar Vale. For many years, Ula was a beautician in Cedar Vale and later was activity director at Cedar Vale Community Hospital.
She had attended the Baptist Church and was a longtime member of the Cedar Vale High School Booster Club. She was an active supporter of the Cedar Vale High School Bronco ball teams.
Survivors include her husband, Jerry, of the home; one son, John, Cedar Vale, Kan.; three daughters, Brenda Myers and Beverly Tolle, both of Cedar Vale, Kan. and Freda Speer, Colorado Springs, Colo.; her mother, Beaulah Utt, Cedar Vale, Kan.; one sister, Ola Utt, Cedar Vale, Kan.; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services were held at 10 am. on Monday, April 25,2005, in the Cedar Vale High School Gymnasium, with Rev. Norman Reeves officiating. Burial was in Cedar Vale Cemetery.
The family suggests memorials to the Cedar Vale High School Booster Club and contributions may be left with the funeral home.
