Vincent DiMaggio died at age 74 years old on October 3, 1986 at North Hollywood in Los Angeles, Los Angeles County.

In 1912, in the year that Vincent Paul DiMaggio was born, the Girl Scouts of the USA was started by Juliette Gordon Low with the help of Sir Robert Baden-Powell, the founder of Boy Scouts in Great Britain.
