Violet Elizabeth (Weckert) Wilson was born on January 23, 1921 in Cloquet, Carlton County, Minnesota United States to Jesena "Sena" Weckert and Joseph Weckert, and had siblings Raymond Weckert, Elizabeth Ann (Weckert) Landro, Patricia Weckert Johnson, and Rose Marie (Weckert) Pressley. She married Arvo Walter Wilson in 1942, and they were married until Arvo's death on August 6, 1977. She had children Sandra Wilson Keogh, Susan (Wilson) Lein, and Kathy (Wilson) Obeidzinski. Violet Wilson died at age 89 years old in 2010 in Duluth, St. Louis County.

    Violet Wilson, 89 of Cloquet died Monday, July 12, 2010 in Solvay Hospice House in Duluth. She was born in 1921 in Cloquet to Joseph and Jensena Weckert. She graduated from Cloquet High School in 1939. Violet married Arvo Wilson in Hattisburg, Mississippi on August 8, 1942. She was employed at Berst Forester Dixfield, and the Cloquet Creamery until 1943 and at Community Memorial Hospital as a nurse’s aid in the nursing home until 1977. She was a lifelong member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Cloquet. Violet was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Arvo in 1977; daughter, Sandra Keogh in 2005; sisters, Evelyn Landro and Rose Pressley; brother, Raymond Weckert; and beloved grandson, Dan Keogh. She is survived by her children, Susan (Curt) Lein of Stone Lake, WI, and Kathy (Mike) Obeidzinski of Eveleth; sisters, Elizabeth Landro, and Patricia Johnson both of Cloquet; grandchildren, Cyndi (Dave) Kuhnert, Stephanie (Damian) Duncan, Matt, Becky, and Brian Lein, Eric Obeidzinski and Stacy (Kent) Cunningham; and great grandchildren, Elizabeth, Katie, Amanda, Joe, Mason, Alyssa, Anissa, and Adrian. A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Friday, July 16, 2010 in Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 102 4th Street, Cloquet. Burial was in New Calvary Cemetery in Cloquet. Arrangements entrusted to Atkins-Northland Funeral Home, 801 14th Street, Cloquet. From Atkins-Northland Funeral Home, Cloquet, MN
