He married Annie Louisa (Reynolds) Strover in 1894, and had children Esme Claire Strover, Clive Haldenby Strover, Violet Elaine Strover, Leila Maude Strover, and Nancy Charis Isobel Strover. Walter Strover died at age 62 years old on June 21, 1927 in Carlton North.
