    Wilhelmina Andrew (Mann) Daman was born to Albert Alfred Mann (1893 - 1973) and Myrtle Laura Burgess (1901 - 1974). Both of her parents were born in Texas. She had four siblings: Alfred Frank, Laura Emma, Eunice Marie, and James William Mann. Wilhelmina Mann married San Houston Andrew Jr. (1918 - 2015) on January 11, 1941 in Devine, Texas and they had eight children, including Sam Houston III and Robert Edward Andrew.     WILHELMINA ANDREW DAMAN Wilhelmina Andre Daman, 78, passed away on Friday, August 15, 2003. She was born in Goldfinch, Texas, on October 20, 1924, to Albert Alfred Mann and Laura Myrtle Burgess Mann. She live in Austin and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church for over 30 years. Mrs. Daman is survived by her husband, J. Eugene Daman of Austin; sons, Sam Houston Andrew III of San Anselmot, California, Albert William Andrew of Cotati, California, Leland Thomas Andrew of Brainerd, Minnesota, Daniel Timothy Andrew of Nashville, Tennessee, and Stephen Andrew of Melbourne, Florida; daughters, Lillian Marie Andrew and Paula Jeanne Andrew Vitale, both of Austin; and sisters, Eunice Lange of Moore, Texas, and Laura Pitts of LaCoste, Texas; 17 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband of 50 years, Sam Houston Andrew, Jr.; her parents; her brothers, Alfred and James Mann; her son, Robert Edward Andrew; and grandson, Sean Thomas Andrew. Wilhelmina had extensively researched her genealogy and was very proud of her Alsatian and Republic of Texas roots. Her life as a military wife took her all over the world. She always made each place a home for her children. Over the years she was active in various organizations at Sacred Heart Church, served as a Girl Scout leader, and was a longstanding member of Tops. Her energy and enthusiasm for life inspired us all. Recitation of the Rosary will be at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, August 18, 2003, in the Colonial Chapel of Cook-Walden Funeral Home. The Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 19, 2003 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 5909 Reicher Drive, Austin. Burial will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas.
