Uncle Artie married my Aunt Viola Cleo Kuykendall January 8, 1928. She died in a car accident August 23, 1938, according to my mother, Marguet Bland, who is Viola's sister. Uncle Artie, according to my mother, asked James P. Kuykendall, my grandfather, if Aunt Trula could come and live with him to help take care of the children. My mother tagged along. Then, later, her married my Aunt Trula. He was much shorter than her. His nickname was Shortie. He worked for the Ford Auto Dealer in Archer City for a very long time.
